India
2018–Present
Since my first trip in 2011, India has become a place I keep returning to. Over the years, it has become an important part of my life and of the way I understand photography.
It was in India that my interest in photography began to take shape. Travelling through the country taught me to pay attention, to spend time in the streets, to observe people, gestures, light, and everyday situations with more care.
This work brings together images made over several trips from 2018 to the present. It is not intended to explain India or reduce it to a single idea. It is a personal record of my experience there: fragments of places, encounters, moments and atmospheres that have stayed with me.
Photographing India has become a way of spending time with the country, of returning to it, and of trying to understand it a little better through what I see.
